We have grown so accustomed to
having to work hard
in order to bring into our lives what we need and desire…
So much so
that we reject what comes to us with ease
as something of no value. Something worthless.
So much so
that instead of receiving what comes into our lives – without sweat and hard labor – with open arms, we keep our muscles flexed and keep our fists in position to fight. Fighting it. Off.
All along complaining that whenever that, which we fought for, that, which we worked for so hard, seems to be at arms reach, it simply vanishes and disappears into thin air as if it has never been there.
Sit down beautiful being, sit down, rest and relax. Gift your tiered and worn out arms and shoulders a massage, a gentle touch, some loving attention. And see how what you need and desire comes to you.
It is this chestnut tree
that has been watching over me, patiently.
Reminding me to open my arms,
to value and receive what comes to me
with ease and free.
